Bishop Fuller House
Thorold Stone Rd. & Davis St
Built: 1840s
Haunted: unknown
History
Originally the home of Thomas Brock Fuller, Anglican Rector of Thorold, the house was built in the 1840s.
The house was burned down just as the town was set to begin an ambitious restoration project in the 1980s. All that remains today is a small house at the gate.
Stones from the house are now located in Lakeview Cemetery as part of a momument to Bishop Fuller.
Hauntings
The apparition of a young woman clad in a pioneer gown, who leaves behind the scent of lavender when she dissappears, was reported before the house burned.
A lighted candle could often been seen floating from room to room on the second floor at night, unsupported by human hands, while the sounds of Welsh lullabies being sung by a young girl could be heard at dusk.

History
While the site was occupied by a crude American hospital during the War of 1812, the Keefer Mansion itself was built in 1886.
It was home to the Keefer Family, who were engineering dynasty of the time.
Most recently know as the Maplehurst Retirement Home (a small surgery unit and chronic care hospital), the mansion has served as a home, a bar, a medical hospital, a hospital for the mentally insane, an appartment building, and a retirement home.
During it earliest incarnations, the mansion Was part of the underground railroad, with old tunnels and hidden passageways rumoured to remain within its walls.
Ironically, the only surviving Donnelly brother was gambling here the night of the massacre in Lucan.
In early 2005, city officials actually contracted a pair of mediums to politely 'evict' the resident spirits in preparation for the planned opening of a bed and breakfast. The Mansion has since undergone a 3 year restoration to become home to an 11-room inn with a 50-seat dining room.
Hauntings
Over the years, footsteps have been heard inside a locked upstairs room. The sound of banging comes from inside a staircase, and the sounds of gates being opened and closed can be heard.
The apparition of ghostly figures have been seen in the basement, where the smell of pipe smoke hangs in the air.
Faucets have also been know to turn themselves on and off.
