Cherry Hill House Restaurant
680 Silver Creek Blvd
Built: 1822
Haunted: 1973
History
The original building was built in 1822 at the intersection of Dundas St & Cawthra Rd, but was moved onto a new foundation 800ft away in 1972
Hauntings
Security guards at the restaurant have reported the apparition of a white figure rising out of the earth, brandishing a sword, along with a girl dressed in white, on a white horse, inside the locked building.
During renovations, the workers found their tools scattered overnight and their work undone the next day.
One carpenter was pushed down the attic stairs by an unseen force, while others reported the sounds of whistling and whispering.
Employees of the restaurant have reported three apparitions: an old indian face floating out of fireplace,
a ghostly outline of a little girl running away, and a Native man floating in mid-air or walking down the stairs.
The sound of footsteps above the pub can be heard, along with the sound of knocking from within the walls of a 2nd floor office.
One employee was tripped while she carrying a tray of drinks, while another was left cold and shaking after walking
through a man-shaped fog outside the ladies' washroom.
Patrons have reported the apparition of a Native woman by the fireplace, and have commented upon lights flashing on and off
while others remain normal.
